Agave Homes Inc., a new residential construction company, was created by Roy Wade and Beth Shoats because they believe in the ongoing commitment to high quality, energy efficient homes which can also provide imaginative architectural design and detail.

Roy and Beth are both native New Mexicans and have a passion for local vistas, culture and architecture. Their combined years of industry experience, background and common sense approach incorporate their passions into the New Mexico Living experience.

Roy and Beth spend a great deal of time researching state of the art products that will result in energy efficiency and excellent indoor air quality, while maintaining the aesthetic beauty and style of each home.

For more than a decade as part owner of Artistic Homes, Roy oversaw the construction of more than 5,500 new homes in New Mexico. Roy's construction and engineering background, allowed Roy to spearhead Artistic Homes Green Builder program. He also led his teams through the successful Build America Program as well as the National Housing Quality program.

 Beth's passion for creating started back in her childhood, where she spent many hours on the jobsite with her fathers' successful building and Real Estate Company. At an early age Beth learned to incorporate the desires of individuals into a practical living experience.. Beth a licensed interior designer, and a Business major give her the background to sustain this new business venture.

In both 2007 and 2006, the Homes of Enchantment Parade awarded Agave Homes "Best Bath Design". Additionally, Agave Homes received the Bronze Award in their price category. During Roy's 10 years at Artistic Homes, the company was recognized for their efforts with several awards. In the 2002, Homes of Enchantment Parade, they received the Energy Value Housing Award and the Silver category for production housing. They were also the Silver winners in the Affordable Housing category of the same year.
